Tenerife and its climate
Tenerife is called the island of eternal spring thanks to its mild climate which varies according to the different areas. Along the coasts it is moderate and sunny from August to October and it rarely rains from March to October. On the contrary, in the inland the temperature varies with elevation.
The north-eastern slopes are rainier and lusher, in the rest of the island the lack of rain contributes to a more arid landscape along the coasts of the southern slopes.
The trade winds from north-east make the northern slope more humid, while the hot temperatures are mitigated along the coast during the summer. In some periods moving from an area to another during the day can be really interesting as you can find totally different conditions.
Mount Teide, the highest peak, is sometimes covered in snow. Check the weather forecast before adventuring to Mount Teide as the climate can be unpredictable. You can then go back to the southern part of the island, where you can bask in the sun and enjoy the pleasant temperature of the water.
